In 1968, two London students - Brian May and Tim Staffell - decided to organize a group. November 23, 1991 Freddie officially announced that he had AIDS. And just on the next day, his fight was over. He died quietly at home surrounded by family and friends. The world was shocked. Freddie had kept his illness a secret and nobody, except the people close to him, did not suspect that the end was so near. Fans around the world sent flowers and cards, and many traveled to London just to stand outside his house. Hebolshaya funeral ceremony was held at the crematorium, three days after his death. Ha was attended by only the closest people, but it was strictly in the Zoroastrian - a religion, which has steadily adhered to parents Freddie.

In April, Brian invited a London advertising agency - to write music for advertising campaigns Ford. Established for this purpose, the song Driven By You turned out so good (and as it turned out, popular) that Brian released it on his first solo single on November 25. He entered the top ten of UK charts.

In memory of Freddie and the benefit fund Terence Higgins to continue the fight against AIDS, as the last wish Freddie had released a single with the two parties "A": Bohemian Rhapsody, and These Are The Days Of Our Lives. The single just got to the 1-st place in the UK charts, which lasted 5 weeks, raising over a million pounds to fight AIDS.

In December 1991, not less than 10 albums, Queen had in the first hundred in the UK.

In February 1992, Freddie was posthumously awarded a special prize of the annual BRIT - "For outstanding contribution to British music" and the three songs presented by Queen "Days Of Our Lives" won an award as Best Single of 1991. Ha ceremony, Roger and Brian announced that, at London's Wembley Stadium will hold a grand concert - as a tribute to Freddie.

The next day the tickets for this concert, and although not yet announced who else apart from Brian, Roger and John will take part in it, tickets were sold out in 6 hours.

On Easter Monday April 20, 1992 with Brian, Roger and John joined by many world stars, and on the stage erected at Wembley Stadium, a grand concert in memory of Freddie. The stadium was packed to overflowing, and on television this concert watched by more than a billion viewers.

In April 1992 the Queen had another Ivor Novello for Best Single Days Of Our Lives, and Brian also won the award for music for TV commercials - for the song Driven By You.

In September 1992 finally saw the light of the long-awaited album by Brian Back To The Light. In 1993, Brian held a series of concerts in Europe and the United States in support of the album. In several concerts attended Guns n'Roses

. Just before Christmas in 1992 left double Videoalbum concert memory of Freddie, all the proceeds of which were designed in the Mercury Phoenix Trust - Fund, specially organized for the collection of revenues from the concert with the prospect of further growth
. Funds from this fund is spent on support to HIV-infected and AIDS patients.

In 1993, Freddie posthumously received the Ivor Novello for his hit Living On My Own. Brian went on tour with The Brian May Band and one of the concerts - in Brixton Academy - was filmed on video and released a live album in 1994.

In September 1994, Roger released 3rd solo album, Happiness. The album was arranged a concert tour of Europe.

By November 1995, Brian, Roger and John completed the songs, record that began back in 1991. Throughout the world, came the long-awaited album Made In Heaven. Many consider it the end of the era as it was announced that this is the last album. In May 1997 the Queen received Ivor Novello for best song (and the words and music) - Too Much Love Will Kill You.

3 November 1997 released a compilation Queen Rocks, which included many rock hits of. There is entered and a new song No-One But You (Only The Good Die Young), written by Brian and dedicated to Freddie, and all those who died young. On the occasion of release of the new album, Brian and Roger gave a press conference in Cologne. November 13 they were in Barcelona on the occasion of awarding of the Golden Disc from the Dutch EMI. January 5, 1998 in the UK released single, No-One But You.

Planned to release archival video and live material. Brian and Roger recorded solo albums and then intend to go on tour. Coming soon a video game, which used music Queen; worldwide travels a great photo exhibition, which shows pictures of Freddy. Queen is one of the most kollektsioniruemyh groups around the world, and their fan club is strong as always.
