Gargily Martial, Quintus; Gargilius Martialis, Qiuntus, III in n. e., a Roman writer. The author works on agriculture, veterinary medicine and the use of medicinal plants. From his works have survived only statements made in the Middle Ages. In the two sections, . On vegetables (De oleribus) and on fruits (De pomis) describes the medicinal properties of more than 60 kinds of vegetables and fruits, they were issued as Book IV of Medicine Pliny under the title Medicine of fruits and vegetables (Medicinae ex oleribus et pomis), . Another excerpt concerns and veterinary treatment of cattle is called (Curae boum). The main source for gm. was Pliny the Elder, and then Dioskurid, Galen, Celsus, Columella. GM, however, understood the subject better by Pliny, and therefore more critical of his writings. Product gm. use of palladium, which among other things, quotes from him and his verbatim quotes.
