KONDRATIEV Vyacheslav Leonidovich (1920 - 1993), writer.
Born October 30, 1920. Since childhood had an interest in literature and art. After high school he joined the Red Army, served in the Far East. By the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, was a sergeant, fought on the Western Front.
The first work of Kondratiev - novel "Sasha" - appeared in the journal "Friendship of Peoples" in 1979 and. immediately appreciated by critics and readers recognition. Inspired by the success, publishes the following works: "Leave to injury" (1981), "Meeting the Sretenka" (1983), the play "The fighting had local significance" (1984).
In 1985, publishes a series of war stories, later included in the book "On the field Ovsyannikovskom and Selizharovsky tract". In 1988 the novel "Red Doors". Last work - the story "This forty-eighth ..." - Was published in the journal "Youth" in 1990.
Serious illness has led to a tragic outcome - the writer committed suicide on Sept. 24, 1993.
