Biography Krumins Harold I.
Krumins Harald I. (Krumins) (21.7.1894, near Riga - 17.5.1943), a party activist, journalist. Son of rural teachers. Educated at the historical-philological faculty of St. Petersburg University (1916). In 1909 he joined the RSDLP, Bolshevik. In 1918 the editor of "National Economy". In the 1919-28 editor of "Economics and Life" in 1928-30 - the newspaper "Pravda". In 1930-34 member of the Central Auditing Commission CPSU (6). The author of works on economics. In 1931-35 in Party work in Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk. In 1935-37 Deputy. Chief Editor of the Great Soviet Encyclopedia and executive editor of the journal "Problems of Economics". In 1938, arrested. He was sentenced to long prison term. He died in the camps. He was posthumously rehabilitated.
