Biography BART Karl (Barth)
Barth, Karl (Barth), (1886-1968), famous German Protestant leader, the enemy of National Socialism. Born May 10, 1886 in Basel. He taught at the Universities of GцІttingen, Mц?nster and Bonn, preached the teachings of the New Testament. In his lectures, Barth had emphasized the absolute difference between God and man, the inability of people to solve their own problems and its complete dependence on the apocalypse. Refusing to take an oath of allegiance to Hitler, Bart was deprived of the department in the University of Bonn. Disposal of the authorities to start daily lectures about God vskidyvaniem hands and greeting "Heil Hitler!" he declared blasphemy. He finished his teaching career at the University of Basel. Bart died Dec. 10, 1968 in Basel.
