Biography Adolf Bush (Busch)
Bush, Adolf (Busch), (1891-1952), German violinist and conductor. Born Aug. 8, 1891 in Siegen, Westphalia. He graduated from the Cologne Conservatory. Since 1919, guided by various ensembles. In Germany, Bush was headed by a popular instrumental quartet, which included his brother Hermann Busch (cello) and pianist Rudolf Zerkin. In 1933, Bush had left Nazi Germany, went to Switzerland, then settled in the United States, where he became known as an interpreter of classical music composer. Died June 9, 1952 in Brattlboro, Vermont.
