Biography Alfred Delp (Delp)
Delp, Alfred (Delp), (1907-1945), a member of the group Kreysau. Converted to Catholicism at age 15, he joined the Jesuit Order, three years later and was ordained priest in 1937. By joining the resistance movement in 1942, has developed a utopian plan for the replacement of the Nazi regime the Christian Social Order. Delp was arrested in late July 1944 after the failure of the attempt on Hitler during the July 1944 conspiracy. He appeared before the People's Tribunal, chaired by sinister Roland Freyslera. Freysler heckled Delpy and accused him that he gave his apartment conspirators.
"You knew perfectly well that there was a betrayal. But, of course, such a devotee as you could and has been trying and keep your scalp tonzurirovanny away from danger. . . But no, you went to pray that the plot was as pleasing to the Lord. " . . Delp was sentenced to death and hanged on Feb. 2, 1945.
