ACOUSTIC ALCHEMY

Guitarist Nick Webb (genus. in 1954 in Manchester) as their main influences was John Martin and Pentangle. In the early 80's, he recorded one album with Simon James. Another guitarist Greg Carmichael (born. in 1953 in London) studied classical guitar at the London College of Music, and then gain experience in working with various jazz groups. They met in 1976, with enough of a number of recordings, and later released on CD Early Alchemy. But, as in Britain, interest in them no one showed the couple moved to America, they signed a contract with MCA and released a superb debut album, Red Dust and Spanish Lace. Their blend of instrumental music can not be attributed to any one genre - there were folk, jazz, pop, flamenco, and one of the best tracks of the ensemble Mr.Crow is a kind of Chinese reggae.
