NERNST Walter Herman

Walther Hermann Nernst was born in 1864.

In 1888, Nernst published an osmotic theory of galvanic cell, developed the theory of diffusion potentials.
In 1890, Walther Nernst distribution law established a solute between two solvents.
In 1897 he became the creator of "Nernst lamp", studied the kinetics and catalysis of chemical reactions.
In 1905 he became a professor at the University of Berlin.
In 1906 Walther Hermann Nernst discovered the law of heat - the third law of thermodynamics.
In addition to scientific advances Nernst yet the author of many monographs.
In 1920 he received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry "in recognition of his work in thermochemistry".
In 1927 Nernst was elected an honorary member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR.
In 1941 Walther Hermann Nernst died.
