Said Muhammad Shabaan Siam

Said Muhammad Shabaan Siam was born in 1959 in the refugee camp of Al-Shati 'in Gaza, his family was originally from the village of Al-Jura near Ashkelon (from the same left Ismail Haniya and Ahmed Yassin). In 1980, Siam finished a workshop of teachers in Ramallah, he became a professor of natural sciences and mathematics. Then Siam continued his education at the Open University Al-Quds, he graduated in 2000 and received his first degree in the history of Islamic culture.

. C 1980 to 2003 he worked in Siam, one of the schools of the Middle East for the UN agency assisting Palestinian refugees and Works (UNRWA) in Gaza but left his job as a result of conflict with their employers because of their political views
. Siam engaged in ideological and social activities among the population, worked as a voluntary teacher and imam in a mosque in the Gaza Strip.

From 1989 to 1992, Siam was arrested 4 times. In 1992, he among others had been deported to the village of Marj Zuhor in Lebanon, in 1995 - was arrested by security forces of the Palestinian Authority. Siam part in important forums of Hamas, the Committee was represented by its control of national and Islamic forces. From December 2001 to April 2002, Siam was the spokesman for Hamas, was involved in the establishment in the Gaza Strip, Hamas' radio station Al-Aqsa. In January 2006, Siam was elected to the Legislative Council, Palestinian Authority. After elections in which Hamas won, he became Minister of Internal Affairs and National Security Authority in the government of Ismail Haniyeh.

. The victory of Hamas in the elections led to armed clashes between his fighters and militants of Fatah, the more moderate Palestinian movement, whose leader was the head of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas

. In spring 2006, Siam organized subordinate directly to the special armed forces, opposed to the Palestinian police, Fatah-controlled. While Abbas is first annulled the decision of Siam, and later he accepted the existence of such a force, provided that they will have the support functions.

. In spring 2007, Siam sharply opposed the Mecca agreement between Fatah and Hamas to establish a national unity government and announced that controlled their formation will continue to struggle

In June 2007, Siam was one of the leaders of the coup in Gaza, where Hamas seized Gaza and destroyed therein institutions controlled by Fatah, after which Abbas announced the removal of the Government of Chania. Hamas is a decision not recognized. In September of that year, created and led by Siam, Hamas forces have been transformed into the official police and security service.

At the end of December 2008, Israeli forces launched a military operation against Hamas in Gaza. During the operation, January 15, 2009 Siam was killed in an air raid.
