Prince Albert II of Monaco to hunt stag in East Siberia
Prince of Monaco Albert II will hunt Siberian stag and fish in Russia`s East Siberian region of Irkutsk, a spokesman for the regional governor said Thursday.
Albert II, known as an extreme sports afficionado, will spend two days near Irkutsk, where he arrived from South Siberia`s Tuva Republic, near the Mongolian border.
In Tuva, Albert II and President Vladimir Putin shared a traditional Tuvan nomad tent at the medieval Por-Bazhyn fortress with archeological researchers, and completed a 48-kilometer (30-mile) rafting trip down the Yenissei River.
After his trip across Lake Baikal, the Prince of Monaco will head to the town of Tiksi, in the Republic of Yakutia, and further to the Kamchatka Peninsula in the Far East.
