Groisman: meeting on constitutional reform will be held on August 31
The head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman confirmed that the Parliament will hold an extraordinary meeting on decentralization of power on August 31.
Happy first extended session until September. Formally, the elected officials are on vacation, but if necessary have the opportunity to be convened for an extraordinary meeting to consider constitutional changes in the first reading. The people's Deputy of the parliamentary faction "Batkivshchyna" Serhiy Sobolev, first suggested that an extraordinary meeting of Parliament on 31 August. The head of the parliamentary faction "Samopomich" Oleg Berezyuk said before Thursday, the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada received a letter about the meeting on August 31.
"After meeting with national people's deputies of Ukraine we decided, because it will take place on August 31 when we consider next the question of change in the Constitution of Ukraine in the part of the decentralization of power," - said Groisman on Thursday.
He added that at the upcoming session is expected to adopt the law, when meetings will be held with the elected representatives.
