The investigative Committee (IC) of Russia prosecuted under the criminal code concerning the Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleg Lyashko and other persons from among the soldiers of the battalion "Azov" on the fact of kidnapping, torture, use of prohibited means and methods of warfare, said the official representative of Department Vladimir Markin.
"On the assumption of the investigation, on September 17, 2014 four fighters of the battalion "Azov" at the direction of Oleh Lyashko, who is the Creator of the battalion " Azov ", illegally entered the apartment of a resident of the city of Mariupol Dmitry Tchaikovsky. After searching the apartment, the suspects tied up the hands and Tchaikovsky, using violent actions, took him to the location of the battalion " Azov ", and then placed in a metal container. During the day Lyashko together with fighters named battalion the victim was severely beaten and threatened with elimination, requiring to report data on the possible presence of his stolen weapons.
