The Ombudsman of Ukraine Valeriya Lutkovska, which is reported as if applied to Ukrainians Oleg Sentsov and Alexander Kolchenko torture, will be attached to materials of criminal proceedings together with other appeals, informs on Tuesday a press-service of the Ukrainian Ombudsman.
first of Lutkovska sent a petition to the President of the Supreme court of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Lebedev with the request to pay attention to the statements of prisoners Sentsov and Kolchenko about the use of torture in pre-trial investigation.
"in response, judges of the Supreme court of the Russian Federation Igor Krupnova reported about the fact that the appeal of the Commissioner for human rights aimed at the North Caucasus district military court to be attached to the materials of the criminal case together with the appeal complaints of the participants of the court session ", - stated in the message on the Internet office of the Ombudsman on Tuesday.
first of the North-Caucasian district military court passed sentence Sentsov to 20 years in prison on charges of organizing terrorist acts in Crimea, Kolchenko received 10 years of imprisonment. Two other figurants of this business - Alexey Chirniy and Gennadiy Afanasyev - already received 7 years of imprisonment. Protection Sentsov challenged the verdict by filing an appeal in the Supreme court of the Russian Federation.
