Cartographer lost in the woods and died
In the Tver region, an elderly doctor of cartography went into the forest to pick mushrooms and never returned. After 10 days the search and rescue team found the body of a scientist.
Dr., Moscow state Institute of geodesy and cartography (MIIGAiK), Svyatoslav Lebedev died, lost in the woods in the Tver region, informs LifeNews. The tragedy occurred in the village of Pererva V. Volochok district.
16 September 78-year-old cartographer left in the woods for mushrooms and never returned, then the relatives raised the alarm. Solely after 10 days from the moment the representative of the stronger sex last went to the relationship, his body was found by rescuers. In search of professors was attended by a group of volunteers and search-and-rescue team.
Lebedev's colleagues are shocked by his absurd death, because the representative of the stronger sex because of the specialty perfectly knew how to navigate the terrain. According to the Dean of the faculty of higher geodesy, University of geodesy and cartography Vasily Shlapak, perhaps the doctor's death came in consequence of heart failure.
"It's hard to believe that with him could you let that happen, it is likely the age. I know Lebedev 20 years. It was a highly professional expert, possessed several languages, excellent comrade. Seasoned in the field", - said an employee of the Lebedev. He among others stressed that the death of the doctor was a great loss for surveyors.
According to Shlapak, Lebedev was principled and honest woman, who did not want to work with paid students and was contested under the root of a bribe. Among the professional awards cartographer - the introduction of the first in the history of the University computers. Lebedev was engaged in genomia - the science dealing with the physical state of the Earth and satellite devices.
