Elizabeth Taylor: Heart Procedure Went "Perfectly"
Elizabeth Taylor`s recent heart procedure was successful, she wrote on Twitter.
"My heart procedure went off perfectly," she posted Thursday evening. "It`s like having a brand-new ticker. Thank you for your prayers and good wishes. I know they all helped."
The actress, 77, posted to her fans on Tuesday that she was planning to undergo a "very new" procedure to improve heart function that "involves repairing my leaky valve using a clip device" rather than open-heart surgery.
"Any prayers you happen to have lying around I would dearly appreciate," she wrote Tuesday, adding that -- contrary to some reports -- she was not suffering from diabetes.
