The head of the Ministry of education considers that Russia can be proud of its education system
In an interview with the Minister of education of the Russian Federation O. Yu. Vasilyev said that Russia is not such a bad education, as is commonly believed.
One of the advantages is that in Russia the highest level of education among all countries of the world. Of all people living in Russia, more than half of the finished profile, a special office or Institute. For comparison, in OECD countries it is equal to just 37%. But this organization includes countries such as America, UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, Czech Republic, Finland and many other major Western countries.
Only 5% of people of Russian citizens have not finished high school, while in OECD countries of such people is 18%. In addition, despite the fact that our higher education is constantly criticized, but more than 90% of those enrolled complete their studies, while in the OECD countries only reach 2/3 of the final exam.
Another important advantage of the Russian education system is that we have a very well developed further education. That is, most of the children after school go to different clubs and sections, where dance, fitness, educational classes, and many others.
Of course, the Russian education system has flaws, and above them the Ministry is actively working.
