David Bailey has sex to "keep death away"
The 72-year-old photographer has always been open about his private life, and has previously claimed to have slept with over 365 women. He has been married four times, and says his current spouse Catherine Dyer is well aware of his physical needs.
"I have to have sex every other night. Otherwise, I told Catherine, I`d have to get someone else in. Got to have sex - keeps death away," he said. "The most I had in one day was four women, though not at the same time. It`s tricky having two in one go. You have to be ambidextrous."
David says he was put at ease when he read Coco Chanel had chastised women who stopped putting effort into their appearance when they got married. He insists that is a big problem, and also can`t understand why some people go off sex when they have been together for a long time.
"Sex is the best thing in my life," he told the British edition of Vogue magazine. "It`s true. And it`s quite funny. I would rather give up photography than sex."
