Falcons bred in incubators and trained to hunt
The birds of prey are bred in an incubator in the south-west of the United Kingdom. Hatching falcon chicks and training them to hunt allow preserving their population in the wild. It is part of a breeding program developed by the Wildlife Consultants International.
The main aim of the organization is to restore the population of these birds of prey in the wild. That?s why an incubator was built in Wales. The process of hatching the chicks is based on a scientific approach. The system of the artificial hatching creates a necessary microclimate. The hatched birds are fed and kept in heated containers.
