Sarah Jessica Parker would never have a live-in nanny
The `I Don`t Know How She Does It` star - who has three children, James, eight, and two-year-old twins, Marion and Tabitha, with husband Matthew Broderick - says it`s important to be hands-on with her children and thinks only she and Matthew should be fully involved in raising them.
She said: "We don`t have any live-in help. We`re pretty hands-on parents. That`s something that`s important to both of us, and we don`t shirk it, because what`s the point in having a family if you`re not going to really participate in it, you know?"
The 46-year-old actress also believes having her children later in life means she`s a bit more relaxed than she may have been if she`d been a younger mother.
The `Sex and the City` star told US Vogue: "I guess I think there are things about it that I hope have made me a better mother. I`ve had a lot of opportunities to do the things that I wanted to do, like sleep. I have slept until 11 for a lot of years. Honestly, the only thing that I`m concerned about is the energy: I hope I can maintain the energy."
