Estonia waits for apologies for Soviet occupation from Russia
Estonia waits for apologies from Russia for Soviet occupation, declared Andrus Ansip.
"Nobody can be forced to apologize. Estonia doesn`t force anyone to apologize. But Estonia waits for Russia to apologize", - said Ansip on Monday in Estonian parliament.
Premier also noted that even if Estonia accepts apologies it can demand compensation for damage during so-called "Soviet occupation".
"Apologies must be sincere and come from heart", - added the head of government.
"We know that Russian Federation pay compensations to its citizens subjected to repression. It is evident that our citizens have the same rights on those compensations. It seems natural to me and I don`t understand why Russian officials think another way", - said Ansip.
"One category of demands is connected with taken artistic valuables. It is obligatory for Russia to return them to Estonia".
