Great Britain highly appreciates Russian help.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and the prime-minister of Great Britain Tony Blair held the meeting, which was focused on how best to tackle terrorism. The meeting took place in the place in the bunker COBRA. As the newspaper Sun informs, Putin became the first of the world leaders who had permission to go to that restricted place. COBRA - is the abbreviation for the briefing room where the government plans their emergency actions. The last time the meeting in COBRA was held in 2005 when the terrorist attacks took place in London. Blair agreed to hold the meeting in spite of the possible Parliament criticism. This deed shows that Blair appreciates Russian help against terrorist attacks. After the summit Russia-European Union Tony Blair declared: "I think that Europe won?t be able to handle all the problems without help from Russia." Mr Putin will also present awards to five Britons who took part in the rescue in summer to save a team of Russians trapped in a submarine.
