Clive Davis has come out as bisexual
The music mogul - who was Whitney Houston`s former manager and discovered the late `I Will Always Love You` hitmaker when she was just 20 - has confessed to having sexual relationships with men towards the end of his high-profile career, despite having been married to two women.
Clive, 80, admitted in a Nightline interview: "For over 50 years, I never had sex with a male. It wasn`t repressed - I had very good sexual relationships with women. Never for me ... this very maligned and misunderstood subject of bisexuality came up."
The producer - currently serving as the chief creative officer for Sony Music Entertainment - only became attracted to guys in middle age and confessed to having a 13-year relationship with a doctor and a seven-year relationship with another man.
However, Clive is adamant he is bisexual and not gay, insisting his marriages were not for show.
When probed by the interviewer, "It`s been said that people are either gay, straight or lying", he quipped, "Correct - and I`m not lying. It (bisexuality) exists."
Whitney`s mother Cissy Houston recently slammed her daughter`s long-term friend and mentor Clive, calling it "obscene" that he had invited her to his annual pre-Grammy Awards bash.
The party took place last year at the Beverly Hilton hotel hours after Whitney - who had been scheduled to perform at the event - was discovered dead in her bathtub in the same building on February 11, 2012.
