Mysterious "Master and Margarita" on Russian TV
One of the most intriguing and long expected TV serials is to be shown on December 19. The film director Vladimir Bortko will submit to the audience the film version of the famous novel by Mikhail Bulgakov "Master and Margarita".
To the time being, none of the film directors who tried to bring this novel to the screen, managed to go through with it. At different times Vladimir Naumov, Igor Talankin, Eldar Ryazanov began their work at the film. However, all of them failed. After all, Yuri Kara managed to make the full-length film, but by mysterious concourse of circumstances his work never appeared on the screens. Since then for good and all Bulgakov?s novel was considered bad luck and nobody attempted on it for a long time. Bortko dared to try his chance.
"Master and Margarita" for Bortko is not just a TV serial. The famous film director made it exact to the text of the novel, from the first to the last line, in accordance with the spirit of the ages, presented in the novel. Each plotline has its own colour score. Jerusalem of the first century a.d. is made in yellow and violet, Moscow of 1935 is black and white, Voland?s wonders will appear in enchanting spectacle of colours.
