Makarevich prohibits sale of Crimean wine with his name in Russia
Leader of Russian rock-group "Machina vremeni" Andrey Makarevich prohibits sale of Crimean wine, registered under trade mark "Andrey Makarevich", in Russia.
The singer dislikes that wine-makers didn`t ask his agreement on use of "popular brand".
The owner of trade mark "Andrey Makarevich" is a Ukrainian private businessman Andrey Kazimirovich Makarevich. He named the wine this way because according to laws of Ukraine he couldn`t register own business under another surname.
Moreover, by words of Crimean Makarevich, several years ago he met with musician-namesake during visit to Moscow. "This is our production, this is our officially registered trade mark, and these are our suggestions about possible co-operation. We understand that you are famous person and we don`t want to enter Russian market, using your popularity", - said wine-maker then. But leader of "Machina vremeni" didn`t give his agreement on sale.
Recently the singer announced that "he will not let production of Andrey Kazimirovich Makarevich to Russia".
