Bulgaria refuses to pay Russia market price of gas
Bulgaria has rejected Gasprom proposal to raise price of supplied gas. At the same time the source from Gasprom informed, that price rise for Bulgaria wasn`t planned.
Bulgarian officials insist that Gasprom is going to turn to monetary form of relations on transit payments and demand from Bulgaria paying for gas by market price.
In reply Sofia was reminded, that at the time being the price is determined by the agreement with Russia in effect till 2010. Bulgarian Ministry of Energy has already claimed the demand to change the gas transit agreement to be unacceptable.
Bulgaria receives Russian gas by price under market level. It is also a gas transiter to Turkey, Greece and Macedonia.
