During 50-degree frost in Kuznetsk Basin women to be granted day-offs
By initiative of Kuznetsk Basin`s governor Aman Tuleev, women, whose absence will not affect industrial process, will be granted day-offs during frosty working days. This was informed by press-service of Kemerov regional administration.
"By weather forecast, air temperature in Kuznetsk Basin will sharply drop to -50 degrees centigrade on night of January 27. In this view the governor has sent telegrams to all presidents of enterprises and leaders of trade union organizations. He has requested to give women, whose absence will not influence industrial process and who have little children, day-offs tomorrow and other frosty days. These day-offs will be paid", - was said during press-service.
In opinion of Tuleev, "the health of people is more important than daily profit from production".
Several enterprises have stopped works on open air. The head of the region also asked directors of enterprises to provide transportation of workers in comfortable conditions to place of work and back home.
