Anatoly Basin

1936, Leningrad. He studied at the architectural department of the Leningrad Civil Engineering Institute (1957-63). In 1956-70 studied painting in the studio OA. Sidlin, ibid taught in 1970-72. Participant of many exhibitions of unofficial art exhibited in Russia and abroad. Since 1979 lives and works in Jerusalem (Israel). In 1980-90 in Israel and St. Petersburg had several solo exhibitions of the artist. From portraits, figurative compositions. A typical representative of the Leningrad unofficial art in the 1970's developing plastic idea "painterly realism" 1930-50-ies. Products are in RM and the Museum of history of the city, St. Petersburg, the Israel National Museum, Jerusalem; Norton Dodge Collection, USA, etc.. museums and private collections in Russia and abroad.
