Russians set record in final of World Cup on bobsleigh
On Saturday the Russians Aleksandr Zubkov and Aleksey Voyevoda won the final stage of the World Cup on bobsleigh, setting the new record of route in German Altenberg.
The Russian crew on the sums of two attempts showed the result 1 minute and 49,65 seconds. Matthias Hepner and Ronny Listner from Germany are in the second place with the result 1 minute and 49,82 seconds, Canadians Pierre Luders and Lasell Brown are in the third place, confining to 1 minute and 50,40 seconds. The second crew, represented Russia in the competition of twos, proved to be only in the 12th places. Evgeny Popov and Aleksey Andryunin showed the result 1 minute and 51,12 seconds. In the total classification of the World Cup Zubkov and Voyevoda moved to the second place, and Canadians became the possessors of the trophy.
