"Ski-track of Russia"-2006 promises to be most popular in history
The press conference devoted to the Russian most popular race "Ski-track of Russia", which will start on the 5th of February, has took place on Thursday.
The head of the Federal agency on physical training and sports Vyacheslav Fetisov told that record number of participants will take part in the competition. "450 thousands of people will take part in the competition - in comparison with the last year it is twice as much. The competition will be held in 45 cities, and the final, named Grand Prix "Ski-track of Russia", will take place on the 12th of February in the town Yakhroma situated near Moscow" said Fetisov.
He also pointed that this competition plays a great role in the development of mass sport in Russia. "Such complex action is advertising the healthy life-style in the whole Russia" underlined the head of the agency.
The organizers of "Ski-track of Russia" also pointed that in the context of the competition there would be held the VIP-race to 2006 metres and a lot of famous persons would take part in it. In particular the governor of Moscow district Boris Gromov is going to race.
It should be added that Vyacheslav Fetisov who doesn`t miss the opportunity to visit the "Ski-track", won`t be able to take part in it this time because of the Olympic Games in Turin starting on the 10th oа February.
