Russian and Turkish Naval Forces to exercise in Black Sea
Military ships of Russian Black Sea Fleet have arrived to Istanbul and will put to Black Sea on Monday, where mutual exercises with Turkish Naval Forces will be held as a part of "Black Sea harmony" initiative.
The flagship of Black Sea Fleet, guard missile-cruiser "Moscow" with Commander-in-Chef of Russian Navy admiral Vladimir Masorin on board will head the troops. An initiative of operation holding was brought by Turkey and supported by Russia.
"The Turkish side expressed willingness to start these trainings because ships of other countries-members of NATO wished to come here", - said the commander-in-chief.
"We don`t mind visits to ports of Black Sea countries and even 2-3-sided military trainings. This is a personal business of every state. At the same moment we consider control over Black Sea by countries, which are not situated in the basin, is at least disrespectful to states of the region", - emphasized Masorin.
