Junior sergeant sentenced to 2 years of disciplinary battalion for hazing in military
Military court of Kazan garrison returned junior sergeant guilty in extortion with use of violence and sentenced him to 2 year detention in disciplinary military unit.
20-year old native of Ukhta town of Komi republic, squad leader of Kazan high military-command school Pavel Chipulsky is also deprived of junior sergeant rank. By words of judge, the behavior of the serviceman discredited the rank. "The punishment follows correctional goals", - explained the judge. The judge took into consideration the fact that a victim of extortion, 19-year old soldier Sharipov, forgave Chipulsky and requested light punishment for offender.
As a reminder, on December 7, 2005 Sharipov deserted the military unit because of constant beating and money extortion from Chipulsky. Later on criminal proceedings by article 337, part 4 of Russian Criminal Code (unauthorized leave of military unit) against serviceman Sharipov were cancelled because of non-manual relationships exposure.
At the same moment relatives of Chipulsky paid 12 thousand rubles for medical treatment of soldier Sharipov in Kazan military hospital as a compensation for moral damage.
The lawyer of Chipulsky informed that his defendant will serve punishment in disciplinary military unit of Mulino town in Nizhegorodsky oblast. After end of the term he will continue the service in army.
