. He was born Jan. 25, 1627 in Lismore (Ireland), and education in Eton College (1635-1638) and the Geneva Academy (1639-1644)
. Then almost continuously lived on his estate in Stolbridzhe there and spent his chemical research for 12 years. In 1656 Boyle moved to Oxford, and in 1668 moved to London.
Scientific activities of Robert Boyle was based on the experimental method in physics, and chemistry, and developed the atomic theory. In 1660 he opened a law change in the volume of gases (particularly air) with the pressure change. Later, he received the name of the law Boyle: Boyle, regardless of the law formulated the French physicist Edme Marriott.
. Boyle was busy studying the chemical processes - for example, occurring during the firing of metals, dry distillation of wood, conversion of salts, acids and alkalis
. In 1654, he introduced the concept of science analysis of the phone. p> One of Boyle's book was called "The Skeptical Chemist". It identified the elements - as "original and simple, . it is not mixed body, . are not drawn from each other, . but represent those parts, . all of which made up the so-called mixed body and which the latter can be eventually decomposed ",
.
And in 1661 Boyle formulated the notion of "primary corpuscles" as the elements and "secondary corpuscles" as complex bodies.
He also was the first to explain the differences in aggregate state bodies. In 1660 Boyle received acetone, surpassing potassium acetate, in 1663 discovered and used in studies of acid-base indicators litmus in litmus lichens growing in the Highlands.
