Biography Alexey Kozhevnikov
(1836-1902 gg.) - An outstanding Russian neurologist, one of osnopovolozhnikov neuropathology, founder of the Moscow school of neuropathologists. In 1865, Mr.. defended his doctoral thesis on the progressive motor ataxia, Duchenne. In 1869, Mr.. was appointed director of Russia's first university clinic of nervous diseases, conducted in the course of her nervous and mental diseases. At the same time headed the Department of Special Pathology and Therapy of the University. Since 1873. - Extra-ordinary, and from 1880. - Ordinary Professor. Initiator, founder and head of the Psychiatric Clinic of Moscow University, the new clinic of nervous diseases, in which the museum has created a neurological and a shelter for patients with chronic nerve.
