Born March 2, 1959 in g. Luga, Leningrad region.
In 1978 he graduated from the Leningrad radiopolitehnikum.
After military service, worked as a foreman, and then - head of the assembly shop of NGOs "Impulse".
In 1987 he graduated from Northwestern Correspondence Polytechnic Institute, specializing in "Automation and Remote Control".
Works in the Research Institute of Precision Mechanics since 1992 in positions: Director of Production, First Deputy Managing Director (since 1997), CEO (since 1998).
He is married and has one daughter.
