Grimaldi, Rainier III (Rainier)

He was born in the Principality of Monaco.
Rainier III has served as an artillery officer in the French Armiii during the Second World War (1939-1945). In 1949 he became Prince of Monaco, when his grandfather, Prince Louis II, abdicated due to ill health. Prince Rainier married the American actress Grace Kelly (who died in 1982 in a car accident) in 1956.
