Korovin Sergei Alekseevich

(1858 - 1908), brother of preceding; worked with him at Savrasov. Exhibited at exhibitions Wanderers, "36" and the "Union". Consisted teacher in the School of Painting. In 1909, when the exhibition "Union" was organized a posthumous exhibition of his works. By theme of his paintings, he joins Peredvizhnichestvo, the technique is close to Serov, Levitan and K. Korovin. Of interest are his paintings of folk life, where he seeks to express the psychology and religious experiences of the people, for example: "In the church," "On the Trinity," "The Road", "Funeral", "Parish court," "At Peace".
