Antiochus of Athens

Ancient Greek astrologer, who lived presumably about. 200 g. BC, although some scholars identify him with Askalonskim Antiochus, who taught Cicero in Athens and lived in the first half of I in. BC. There are two of his works on astrology: "Introduction" (Eisagogika) - astrological textbook in two books (in which AA. cites the "Timaeus," Hermes Trismegistus and Nehepsona and Petosirida), as well as the book "Treasures" (Thesayroi), actively used by Porphyry and Rhetore. AA. also attributed Calendar "Peri asteron anatellonton kai dynonton en tois ib mesi toy eniauton". Interestingly, AA. - Unique among all known astrologers of that era, who lived in Athens.
