Leo Ivan Ivanovich

After serving a short time, after completing the course in the Tsar's Lyceum, in the Guards Horse Artillery, Leo took the title of Judge of the Moscow Court of outbuildings, although the service in the eyes of the then nobility humiliating. Immediately on leaving the Lyceum, Leo joined the first secret society, founded in 1817, and was one of the activities of its members. After 20 years it was housed first in Turinsk (where Leo, on the testimony of local authorities, "nothing more than reading books, not involved), and then in Yalutorovsk (here he is addicted to agriculture). Returned from links in 1856. Left of him "Notes on friendly relations with A.S. Pushkin (in the "Athenaeum", 1859, h. II,? 8) and "Letters from Yalutorovsk" (1845) by Engelhardt, give information about his life there, his comrades, about the Yalutorovsk and its inhabitants, and t. n. (in "Russian Archive", 1879, III etc.). Pushkin wrote in 1826 Pushchin message of extraordinary warmth and he has received in Chita only two years.
