Biography BOLOTOV Andrew Timofeevich
(1738-1833) Born 7 (18) October 1738 in the village of Tula province Dvorjaninovo in a noble family. In 1755-1762 was in military service. For many years engaged in publishing (magazines 'villager', 'The Economic shop'). Since 1794 - Member of the Leipzig Economic Society. In the period of stay abroad, in Germany, attended the lectures of the German professors, the followers of the philosophy of H. Wolf and G. Leibniz. In his writings Bolotov constantly addressed the issue of faith and reason, religion and science, holding the view that reconciliation and even 'cooperation' between these areas is possible and necessary. The most universal method of association is a philosophy that places the most common questions: the nature of God and the created world, about man's place, etc.. Significant place in the structure of philosophical knowledge Bolotov assigned ethics and anthropology. Bolotov, died in the village of Tula Province Dvorjaninovo. 4 (16) October 1833.
