Born October 15, 1881 in Guildford. Educated in Dalich College London. In 1902 began to publish eccentric humorous pieces in newspapers and magazines. From 1909 he lived in the U.S.. Wodehouse valuable contribution to the literature is the image of a lackey Dzhivza. The first story about Dzhivze was published in 1916, in 1923 published a book Dzhivz. This character also appears in books Perform, Dzhivz (Carry On, Jeeves), thank you, Dzhivz (Thank you, Jeeves), and The Return of Dzhivza (The Return of Jeeves).
