Biography Leo Delibes (Delibes Leo)
(1836-1891) Born February 21, 1836 in Saint-Germain-du-Val. After graduating from the Paris Conservatory entered concertmaster in the 'Theater lyricist' and the second choirmaster at 'Opera'. In 1881, Delibes became a professor of composition at the Conservatory. First success brought him ballet Creek (La Source). The most popular ballet by Delibes - Coppelia (Coppelia) was placed in the 'Opera' in 1870, he is in the repertoire of many theaters and on this day.
