Biography Guillaume Victor Emile Augier
(1820-1889) Born September 17, 1820 in Valence (dep. Drom). Belonged to the wealthy bourgeoisie, and studied law, but the practice is not engaged. In 1844 wrote a two-act drama in verse cicuta (La Cigu). Along with A.Dyuma Ogier's son is credited with creating realistic drama. So, . in the Adventuress (L'Aventurire, . 1848) revealed pretense heroine, . merely wants to get the groom from 'respectable' family, . but Gabriela (Gabrielle, . 1849) debunked the idea of a favorite of romantics, . according to which passion justifies those, . who had it covered, . The ideal of a healthy family Ogier protects marriage Olympia (Le Marriage d'Olympe, 1855), directed against the La Dame aux Camelias Dumas, poeticises kept woman, however, in Kanerle Madame (Madame Canerlet, 1876) Ogier recognized the right to divorce. In-law of Mr. Poirier (Le Gendre de M. Poirier, 1854) ridicules the nouveaux riches, give her daughter to descended aristocrat who despised him. Ogier was one of the most successful of French playwrights: from 1845 to 1900, only on the stage 'Comedie-Francaise' his pieces were played 2656 times. He finished his career just as it began: a play that glorifies the sanctity of family ties - House Furshambo (Les Fourchambault, 1878). Ogier died in Kruasi October 25, 1889.
