Biography Scarron Paul (Scarron Paul)
(1610-1660)
Born July 4, 1610 in Paris. Son of the judicial official, in 1629 he chose a career cleric. In 1634 he moved with his father in Le Mans, where he remained until 1641. His literary activity of this period included participation in the dispute over the Side Corneille (1637) and writing most of the most famous of his works - a realistic and picaresque comic novel (Roman comique, publ. 1651, Russian. translated 1934). By shifting the partial paralysis, Scarron tried to find patrons among influential persons in the city, but poverty and disease forced him to move to Paris, where he lived, except for a brief stay at Le Mans in 1646, until his death. Nurturing project to create their own company in South America, on the Orinoco River, Scarron championed by Franцїoise d'Aubignц?, granddaughter of the Protestant poet Agrippa d'Aubignц? (1550-1630). Abandon his intention, they were married April 4, 1652. Scarron has written for the stage, as a rule, recasting the Spanish comedy, and composed a huge number of 'burlesque verse', in t.ch. travestiyny retelling of the Aeneid, entitled Perelitsovanny Virgil (Virgile travesti, 1648-1652). Consistently funny and witty, despite the hardships, Scarron with a mocking smile, looked at both the vices of his age, and on adultery, which was destined to become famous Madame de Maintenon. Scarron died in Paris on October 7, 1660.
