Biography HERNANDEZ Jose (Hernndez Jose)
(1834-1886) Born November 10, 1834 pastoral estate in the province of Buenos Aires. Apparently, a self-taught. During the civil war that began after the fall of the dictatorship H.M. Rosas (1852), Hernandez supported the Federalists, who fought for the output from the provinces of Buenos Aires. In 1872 participated in the uprising against the central government gaucho, and when it failed, went into exile. In 1874, Hernandez returned to the capital, founded the federalist newspaper, 'Revista del Rio de la Plata', and held various government posts. Hernandez immortalized the image of gaucho in his famous book Gaucho Martin Fierro (El gaucho Martn Fierro, the first part of 1872, the second - 1879). The book is written in the tradition of the folk epic folk language and style. The image of the protagonist, tells of his life, embodied by the main character traits gaucho - of freedom, resourcefulness, resilience, courage, spiritual wholeness. Hernandez managed to give popular speech with its inherent naive aphoristic extraordinary artistic expression and create spectacular pictures of nature.
