Biography IRENE (Eirenaios) from Tire
Irenaeus; Eirenaios, Latin. Irenaeus Comes, from Tire mind. app. 450 g. n. e., Greek Christian writer. He has held high office under the emperor Theodosius II. Nestor was a friend and follower of his teachings. In an attempt to protect Nestor was banished to Petra (Arabia). Later became Metropolitan Tire, and then again was forced to retire into exile. In unpreserved 5 books of the history of the Church described in detail the struggle of the Nestorians. Writing and. Tragedy can be reconstructed on the basis of the product Synodicon adversus traghoediam Irenaei, written in the VI. presumably Christian writer Rustico Roman.
