Gregory of Tours or George Florence; Gregorius Turonensis-Georgius Florentius, OK. 540-594 years. n. e., Latin Christian historian. Came from a family of senators. In 573 g. became bishop of Tours. The epochal significance was the product of G.T. entitled Ten books of history (Historiarum libri X). This is the first history of the Franks and the French call poehtomu G.T. father of his stories.
