Julian Pomeroy; Iulianus Pomerius, mind. after 498 g. n. e., Latin Christian writer. Born in Africa (Mauritania), which left the onset of the Vandals. Ass in Arles, where the first was a teacher of rhetoric, and later a priest, and possibly the monastery. Received an excellent education. Corresponded with Ennodiem. YU.P. was a follower of the teachings of Augustine, a prominent theoretician of the spiritual life and ascetic writer.
