V. Malikov was born October 19, 1924 in the village of Old Kurmashevo Aktanysh region of the Republic of Tatarstan. In 1942 he graduated from vocational school in Kazan. In 1947, after demobilization, he returned to Kazan, he studied at the Art School under the leadership of SS. Ahun. In 1953-1959 he studied in the School of Industrial Art of. VI. Fly. Since 1959, he worked in Kazan.
