Landa, Mikhail Markovich (1890 - 28.7.1938), political commissar, an army commissar of rank 2. In 1918 joined the RKP (b). In the 1920's. Chief Military Prosecutor. In 1921-27 Deputy. early. Political Administration of the Red Army, then early. Political Administration of Belarus and the Siberian military district. In 1928 was one of the leaders of the vnutriarmeyskoy opposition, which opposed the "lack of activity of the Party and the political bodies of the army against the distortion of the facts the party line in the maintenance of military-political education" etc.. For a long time served as managing editor of the newspaper "Krasnaya Zvezda" and magazine "Banner". 27/10/1937 relieved of his post, and 5.11,1937 arrested. Pleaded guilty to involvement in the anti-Soviet, Trotskyist, military-fascist conspiracy in the Red Army. 28/7/1938 sentenced to death. Shot. In 1956, rehabilitated.
